Where Did I Put It? (“the App”) is a personal item organization application designed to help you remember where you have stored your belongings.

We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how it is stored.

1. No Account or Personal Data Collection

The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use its core features.

We do not operate a server or online account system for storing your saved items.

The App does not intentionally collect:

  • Your name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Contacts

  • GPS/location information

  • Account credentials

  • Personal information for online storage

2. Your Data Is Stored Locally

The information you save in the App is stored locally on your device.

This may include:

  • Item names

  • Categories

  • Room information

  • Storage locations

  • Position information

  • Notes

  • Photos associated with your items

This information is used only to provide the App's functionality.

Your saved data is not uploaded to our servers or stored in our cloud because the App does not provide a cloud storage service.

3. Important: Data Loss and Recovery

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining your own copy or backup of important information.

Your saved data may be permanently lost if you:

  • Uninstall the App

  • Remove/delete the App's data

  • Use Android's “Clear Data” or “Clear Storage” option

  • Reset or replace your device

  • Lose or damage your device

  • Delete the application's local files

  • Perform another action that removes the App's local storage

Once locally stored App data has been deleted, we may not be able to recover it because we do not maintain a server-side copy or cloud backup of your data.

We strongly recommend keeping your own backup of any information that is important to you.

We are not responsible for recovering data that has been deleted from your device or otherwise become inaccessible due to device-level actions, including uninstalling the App or clearing its data.

4. Photos and Camera

The App may allow you to:

  • Take photos using your device camera

  • Select photos from your device

Photos may be associated with items you save in the App.

These photos are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

Camera access is requested only when you choose to use the camera functionality.

5. Offline Operation

The core functionality of the App is designed to work offline.

An internet connection is not required to create, view, edit, search, or delete your locally stored items.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your saved item information with third parties.

We do not upload your:

  • Item names

  • Item locations

  • Notes

  • Item photos

to our servers.

7. Third-Party Services

The V1 version of Where Did I Put It? does not intentionally integrate advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking services.

If third-party services are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated as applicable.

8. Data Security

Your information is stored locally on your device.

The security of locally stored information also depends on the security of your device and Android operating system.

We recommend using a secure device lock and keeping your device software updated.

9. Data Deletion

You can delete individual items through the App.

If you delete the App's data or uninstall the App, locally stored information may be permanently deleted.

Because we do not maintain a server-side copy of your information, we cannot guarantee recovery of deleted local data.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not specifically directed toward children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's functionality or data practices change.

Any updated version will include a revised “Last Updated” date.
